This church was built to commemorate and console the souls of those who fell victim to the world’s first atomic bomb, dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and as a sign of fraternity and peace among all nations.
What this church should always convey is truth and not lies, justice and not power, and charity and not hatred, that is, the path to God that brings peace to mankind. Therefore, may all who come to worship at this church pray for the eternal rest of the victims and for the eternal peace among all mankind.
