We at Fukuoka Chikushi Food Bank aim to create a local community where there are many places where any child can participate, even if they are alone, where they can feel safe and cared for by local people, where they can enjoy a warm meal, and sometimes have a variety of play and learning experiences.
To achieve this, we will work with individuals, companies, and governments who share our vision to become a food bank that provides food to “children’s cafeterias,” a place for children to gather. We will also build a network of children’s cafeterias, provide information on safe food handling, and provide a forum for exchanging information on issues surrounding the operation of “children’s cafeterias.”
The food bank project connects “food” and “information,” and will support the continued operation of “children’s cafeterias,” mainly in the Chikushi area.
