Food Bank Ikoro Sapporo

We are based in Higashi Ward, Sapporo, and our food bank activities transform “wasteful” food into “thank you” food. Food banks are organizations that collect food that would otherwise be thrown away even though it is still edible, and distribute it to social welfare facilities, single-parent households, children’s cafeterias, and needy households.

Our goal is to “reduce food waste” and “build a food safety net.” So that we can pass on to the next generation a society where people can live in peace even 100 years from now. Food Bank Ikoro Sapporo is a place where people with the same thoughts can gather.
