Shinjuku Fire Station is located in the center and western part of Shinjuku Ward, and has jurisdiction over an area of 9.8 square kilometers, which is about half of the ward’s area. The area is a representative part of Tokyo, with Shinjuku Station, which is used by 3.4 million people a day, as its center, a high-rise building district to the west, and Kabukicho, one of Japan’s leading entertainment districts, stretching from east to north.
